Genesis and Development of the Adyghe Literature: Issues of Stage States and Periodisation

Submitted: 28.02.2021
Abstract. The purpose of the research is to solve the issue of stage states and periodisation of the Adyghe literature. Scientific novelty of the work lies in identifying not one (which is all the pre-war decades) but two periods of active interaction with the Russian culture. As a result, it is found that attribution of the first stage in evolution of the Adyghe Soviet literature should be based on ideological principles. Ideally, it can be made only within coordinates of donor - acceptor relations with the Russian Soviet verbal tradition and the entire system of the socialist realist culture, which really defined norms of national writers’ aesthetic beliefs.
Key words and phrases: северокавказская литература, А. Кешоков, адыгский роман, проблема периодизации, новописьменные литературы, North Caucasian literature, A. Keshokov, Adyghe novel, periodisation issue, newly scripted literatures
