Imperative Mood Forms of Suppletive Verb Pair БЫТЬ/ЕСТЬ in the Text "The Russian Primary Chronicle" (According to the Laurentian and Hypatian Codices)

Abstract. The study aims to describe the functional-semantic paradigm of the imperative forms of the Old Russian verb "быти", using the material of the annalistic text "The Russian Primary Chronicle". Scientific novelty of the study lies in reconstructing in the most complete manner the paradigm of the imperative forms of the verb "быти", presented in the Old Russian historical period in the text of the ancient manuscript "The Russian Primary Chronicle". As a result of the study, it becomes possible to describe in detail functional and semantic features of the imperative forms of the analysed verb at one of the most important stages in its formation.
