Linguocultural Features of Concept SOUND: Objectification of Microconcept "Sounds Caused by Human Activity" by the Material of English Phraseological Units

Abstract. The paper aims to identify the features of phraseological representations of the microconcept "Sounds caused by human activity" of the concept SOUND. The study attempts to describe the researched element of the concept within the unity of notional, figurative and evaluative components, to reveal their cultural specificity. The scientific originality of the research lies in the fact that it considers the periphery of the concept SOUND objectified in phraseological units from the point of view of linguoculturology. As a result, it has been proved that phraseological units of the microconcept "Sounds caused by human activity" are characterized by cultural connotation, most clearly actualize the evaluative and figurative components of the concept and at the same time describe not only the sound but the person as its source.
