Concept WATER in Russian and Chinese Phraseological Units, Proverbs and Sayings

Abstract. The aim of the study is to identify the semantic and linguocultural components of the semantic structure of the concept WATER in Russian and Chinese linguistic pictures of the world. The scientific originality of the research lies in the fact that the article examines the components of the concept WATER in Russian and Chinese linguistic pictures of the world at the semantic and cultural semantic levels in comparative aspect. The article presents the results of the analysis of phraseological units, proverbs and sayings of the two compared languages, reveals common and distinctive components of the concept WATER in Russian and Chinese linguistic pictures of the world.
