Abstract. The paper aims to reveal cognitive mechanisms of reality representation in advertising tourist narrative. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the author for the first time analyzes advertising tourist narrative from the viewpoint of its cognitive arrangement. The findings indicate that advertising tourist narrative is based on cognitive mechanisms of profiling, focusing and perspectivization, which secure the formation of conceptual structures. The researcher concludes that cognitive mechanisms determine narrative structure and content, facilitate its compositional arrangement as a discursive event.
