Linguistic and Cultural Specifics of V. V. Putin’s Image in the Serbian Media in 2021 (Based on the Material of the Internet Portals Blic and Kurir)

Abstract. The aim of the research is to identify the characteristic features of the Russian Federation President’s image in modern Serbian online media in 2021. The scientific originality of the research lies in the fact that, for the first time, using the material of popular Serbian online media, it studies the linguistic methods of creating V. V. Putin’s image, and also defines the basic realias of Russian linguoculture, on the basis of which this image is constructed. The result of the research was the accentuation of the topics that journalists turn to when creating the image of the Russian president in 2021 (the historical past of Russia, coronavirus, Afghanistan, Russian weapons, Nord Stream 2, hacker attacks), as well as the identification of key linguistic ways of forming the image in the text (use of vocabulary with positive and negative connotations, set expressions).
