Abstract. The aim of the study is to determine the prerequisites for the emergence of transhumanistic problematics in English literature. The article traces the origins of transhumanistic problematics in the dystopian novel "Brave New World" by O. Huxley, highlights the main problems of the novel associated with philosophy of transhumanism, and reveals that in the literary sphere, reflections on the relationship between people and technologies have become the main problem of transhumanism. The scientific originality of the research is associated with the prospects that it opens: the study of transhumanistic problematics in dystopian narratives. As a result, it is proved that O. Huxley, with his novel "Brave New World", anticipated the emergence of transhumanistic problematics in English literature.
