Interpretative Component of Argumentative Constructions of Criticism in the English-Language Reviews as Explication of Assessment in Scientific Discourse

Abstract. The article raises the question of studying argumentation from the viewpoint of criticism. The work aims to identify logical, semantic and structural features of the interpretative component in texts of the English-language reviews. Scientific novelty of the study lies in analysing argumentative constructions actualising negative assessment in scientific discourse. The attained results have shown that the interpretative predicate as a part of complex text structures has a reference object "data" in the form of facts and "foundation" in the form of a logical connection. The authors have made conclusions about specificity of expressing criticism in scientific expertise in English from the standpoint of constructive interaction.
