Translating the English Neologisms in Modern Economic Texts

Abstract. The article deals with the issue of translating the English neologisms in economic texts. The work aims to analyse peculiarities of creating neologisms in economic discourse and identify the main methods of translating them into Russian. The study is novel in that the problem of neologisms translation is underexplored. As a part of the study, fundamental nature of neologisms is explored, the main methods of their derivation are identified, their functions are classified and methods of their translation are examined. It was found that the majority of neologisms are formed predominantly by blending, and the most common method of translating neologisms in economic texts is the transcription and translation method.
