Abstract. The article examines specificity of conflict in tales-plays by the Tatar writer Fanis Yarullin. Special attention is paid to the following issues: imagery structure of the tales-plays "A Thief Can’t Hide His Guilty Feeling", "A Girl without a Name", "The Keys to Happiness", "Amak and Shamak", specificity of the plot (absolute happy end, relatively happy end) and conflict (conflict as confrontation of good and evil, conflict as nature of relations, conflict as misunderstanding of global processes, social conflict). The conclusion is made that F. Yarullin’s tales-plays represent the author’s worldview and propagate kindness, honesty, social equality.
