Using Spider Web Technology when Developing C1 Students’ Foreign-Language Discussion Skills in the Process of Unmoderated Group Discussion

Abstract. The methodology to form foreign-language discussion skills in the process of unmoderated group discussion is still poorly investigated. The article for the first time describes the approved technology (Spider Web) specially developed to conduct unmoderated discussions. The author proposes previously unknown methodological techniques aimed at developing students’ foreign-language discussion skills and/or correcting the existing communicative habits. The author’s criteria to assess C1 students’ discussion skills are suggested.
