Principles and Criteria for Choosing a Fiction Text when Teaching Russian to the Tajik Students

Abstract. The article deals with the issue of selecting the Russian-language fiction texts to teach Russian at the Tajik school. The authors study the principles and criteria of fiction texts selection according to the pupils’ linguistic development level, ways of their adaptation, possibilities of practical application while working with the Tajik schoolchildren. The fiction text is considered as a speech unit forming crosscultural, communicative, cognitive and area studies competencies and realizing the principle of communicative teaching.
