Reconstruction of the Past in M. Shishkin’s Small Prose (by the Material of the Short Stories Collection "The Half-Belt Overcoat")

Abstract. The article analyses the means to reconstruct space of the past in M. Shishkin’s small prose. It is shown that the author creates two models of the past: the narrator’s flashback, which actualizes non-autonomous sphere of the past, and common space of the relatively autonomous past shared by two or more narrators. These overlapping models create complicated architecture of an epoch that realizes the fractal principle and allows generating a variety of semantic concepts associated with "search of lost time" and its written fixation.
