Artist’s Destiny in Poetical Interpretation of the Modern Ossetian Writers (by the Material of Works by A. M. Kodzaev and Sh. F. Dzhikaev)

Abstract. The article considers specific interpretation of an artist’s image in poetry of A. M. Kodzaev and Sh. F. Dzhikaev. The researcher’s attention is focused on analysing the storylines and motives that contribute to revealing a lyrical hero’s personality and character. Such an approach is conditioned by the choice of the research material - aesthetic and fiction works of the Ossetian writers. The poems under study reveal the authors’ attitude towards the mortal world, tragic destiny of an artist. It is shown that creating poetical works devoted to world art figures, the Ossetian poets relied on national traditions but managed to introduce fresh, innovative interpretation.
