Compound Nouns of the Bashkir Language with the Components "ак" and "кара"

Abstract. The study aims to codify the spelling of the Bashkir compound nouns created with the use of the components "аќ" (white) and "ќара" (black). Scientific novelty lies in the fact that orthography of nouns with compound structure has not become an object of a special study, in the meantime, word-formation on the basis of the model "adjective" + "noun" has been the most productive way in derivatology of the modern Bashkir language. As a result of the study, the authors have identified principles of open, closed and hyphenated spelling of lexemes containing the components "аќ" (white) and "ќара" (black) and offered a number of additions to the existing spelling rules of the Bashkir language.
