Realisation of Confucian Ideas in Pedagogical Discourse: Linguocultural Commentary

Abstract. The purpose of the study is a frame presentation of Confucian ideas through their realisation in pedagogical discourse. The frame and slot analysis methodology is applied in the course of considering Confucianism ideas, which are still relevant for the modern education system of China. Scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that Confucius’s ideas are interpreted as culture-significant meanings uninfluenced by cultural and temporal factors. As a result, it is proved that Confucian ideas function as an important axiological component of pedagogical discourse organised in accordance with value attitudes and priorities adopted by actors of this type of institutional communication.
