Mobile Applications as a Means of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language while Organizing Foreign Students’ Autonomous Work

Abstract. The article justifies relevance of introducing information technologies into the practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language. The authors examine the linguo-didactic potential of latest mobile applications as a modern teaching aid while organizing extracurricular work of students who have an initial language competence in the Russian language. The paper suggests ways to introduce mobile applications in the educational process with a view to facilitate assimilation of linguistic material, to develop foreign students’ lexico-grammatical and phonetic skills, to offer them an opportunity to consolidate the material studied in class, and furthermore, to acquire knowledge on their own.
