Personal Names of the Armenian Diaspora Representatives in the Multicultural Space of Krasnodar Territory

Abstract. The paper traces evolution of naming traditions among the Armenian diaspora representatives in Krasnodar Territory under the conditions of isolation from the metropolitan country. The author analyses formal and semantic transformations of canonical names, identifies correlation of the original and the borrowed in the regional anthroponymicon. The percentage of the Armenian personal names that are in use among the Armenian-speaking Kuban residents is estimated. The factors that influence the process of naming people with the Armenian roots who permanently reside in the multicultural region of Russia are identified.
