LEXICO-STYLISTIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ENGLISH-SPEAKING TOURIST’S INTERNET COMMENTARY

Abstract. The article considers lexico-stylistic characteristics of a tourist’s Internet commentary. The author identifies the basic lexico-stylistic means and purposes of their usage in the English-speaking tourists’ Internet commentaries. The paper examines such types of Internet commentary as a commentary-advice, commentary-warning and commentary-gratitude. Tourists’ Internet commentaries are classified into positive, negative and mixed ones and are analyzed from the viewpoint of the gender aspect. The findings allow identifying the typical features of male and female tourist’s commentaries.
