SEMANTICS AND FUNCTIONING OF THE NUMERAL "БЛЫ" ("SEVEN") IN THE KABARDINO-CIRCASSIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article is devoted to studying the semantics of the numeral "блы" ("seven") in the Kabardino-Circassian language. Analyzing linguistic units of different levels, the author identifies the functions, semantic features of the numeral "блы" ("seven") in the Kabardino-Circassian language. The ethno-specific features of functioning of the mentioned numeral in the Adyghe linguistic consciousness are considered. It is noted that the analyzed numerative serves as a marker of amplification and exaggeration. The conclusion is made that the analyzed numeral does not manifest apparently positive or apparently negative semantics.
