COMPARATIVE DISCOURSE IN GALIMDZHAN IBRAGIMOV’S WORKS OF THE 1910-1920S

Abstract. The article analyses the works on linguistics and literary studies of the famous Tatar scientist Galimdzhan Ibragimov. It is ascertained that problematizing the issue of national identity of the Tatar language and literature, G. Ibragimov uses the comparative method: includes the phenomena of the Tatar language and literature in the series of comparisons and contrasts with the phenomena of the Turkic and Russian languages and literature. The authors determine that the basis of comparative discourse in G. Ibragimov’s works is the idea of the plurality of languages and literature, each developing in accordance with their immanent properties.
