PECULIARITIES OF CHOOSING THE CONTENT OF TEACHING FOR SHORT-TERM FOREIGN LANGUAGE COURSES

Abstract. The article considers the realization of theoretically justified methodological approaches to choosing the content of foreign language teaching for short-term courses at linguistic higher school. The appropriate choice criteria allow establishing the amount and content of the educational material necessary to achieve the goals and purposes of the linguistic training of a certain group of students. The textbooks emphasizing the elements of communication process are used in teaching professionally oriented foreign language communication.
