FEATURES OF ETHNIC STEREOTYPES VERBALIZATION IN THE RUSSIAN AND GERMAN PAROEMIAS

Abstract. The article addresses the issue of the specific way of verbalizing ethnic stereotypes in the paroemiological units of the Russian and German languages using the example of proverbs and sayings. The Russian and German paroemiological units, verbalizing the ethno-differentiating stereotypes of the Russians and Germans, are the research object. As a result of the analysis of literature on the problem, the bases of ethnic stereotypes are identified. The author also discusses the main characteristics of ethnic stereotypes, highlights stereotypical dominants in the linguistic consciousness of the Russian and German peoples and reveals differences in stereotypical dominants in the linguistic consciousness of the representatives of the Russian and German ethnocultural societies.
