FEATURES OF THE GRAMMATICAL FORMS OF PREDICATES AND ATTRIBUTES IN COMBINATIONS OF THE NUMERAL "ПОЛ-" WITH NOUNS OF TEMPORAL SEMANTICS

Abstract. The paper analyses the features of the form of predicates and attributes in constructions with the component " пол- " and nouns of temporal semantics. Using the methods of corpus linguistics, it is revealed that the preposition and the plural form are frequent for attributes, and the singular form is frequent for predicates. The author describes the cases of using attributes in the postposition (in the presence of a semipredicative construction or special actual division) and in the singular number (in the use of an archaic word form and in a structure’s "splitting"), as well as the features of a flexion choice in N1 and N4. As a result the conclusion is made that " пол- " should be treated as a separate lexeme.
