STORYLINE PECULIARITIES OF "SEMETEY" EPOS (IN MOLDOBASAN MUSULMANKULOV’S INTERPRETATION)

Abstract. The article examines the literary peculiarities of "Semetey" epos in the interpretation of the famous narrator of the XX century Moldobasan Musulmankulov, which distinguish it from other versions of the epos. His version differs from other versions and from the traditional storyline. In particular, the following differences should be mentioned: first of all, different interpretation of motives for confrontation between the Kyrgyz clans and the lyro-romantic motive associated with the bogatyr’s wedding. The description of the typical of epic works genealogical cycle presupposing hereditary transmission of power also differs. Besides, the narrator suggests his own interpretation of Semetey’s image.
