PECULIARITIES OF TRANSITIVE VERB FORMATION IN THE KOLYMA DIALECT OF THE YUKAGIR LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article reveals the peculiarities of transitive verb formation in the Kolyma dialect of the Yukagir language. The author clarifies the semantics of word-formative affixes of transitive verbs and examines some previously unexplored word-formative affixes, such as =дэй= (with the meaning of impetuous instantaneous action), =дай=/=дэй= (with the meaning of an action, which causes changes), =жии= (with the meaning of deliberate action), etc. The paper concludes that transitive verbs are formed with noun stems, nouns of action, common non-productive stems of intransitive verbs, qualitative processives.
