LEXICAL REPRESENTATION OF THE CONCEPTS МУЖИК AND БАБА IN THE MODERN RUSSIAN LINGUISTIC CONSCIOUSNESS

Abstract. The article analyses the lexical representation of the concepts МУЖИК and БАБА by the material of newspaper publications of the last decade represented in the Russian National Corpus. The authors examine lexical meanings, analyse the compatibility of lexemes and describe lexico-semantic fields of the concepts. The paper concludes that the content of the concepts МУЖИК and БАБА has undergone essential transformation from the end of the XX century; the process of reinterpretation of these concepts in the modern Russian linguistic consciousness is still going on.
