COMMUNICATIVE IMPERATIVES IN THE GERMAN-LANGUAGE SOCIAL NETWORKS

Abstract. The article is devoted to communicative imperatives with the intention of expressing sympathy and support in the German-language texts of social networks. The analysis is based on the methods of functional and pragmatic linguistics including the method of conversation analysis by K. Brinker. The author ascertains verbal expression in speech acts of communicative imperatives depending on interactants’ intentions. The study material was compiled using the German-language records and comments that were selected on the twitter.com portal using a continuous sample.
