Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of the creativity of the Tatar poet Maris Nazirov (1949-2013), who, having lived in Bashkortostan, made an important contribution to the Tatar literary process of the last quarter of the ХХ - the early ХХI century. For the first time, the paper analyses the poet’s song creativity that is of particular interest to the author of the article. Topicality and novelty of the work are explained by the lack of knowledge of the regional poet’s entire literary heritage including song texts written by him. The author emphasizes that one of the key features of his work is musicality, melodiousness of poetic style. Attention is paid to the analysis of the subject, compositional diversity of constructing song lyrics and comprehension of the linguistic means of expression.
