INTERTEXTUAL RELATIONS IN A. VAMPILOV’S MULTIPLE-ACT PLAYS

Abstract. The article is devoted to the intertextual analysis of A. Vampilov’s dramatic works. The authors consider the features of intertext functioning at plot and idea levels in the play "The Elder Son". The paper traces references to the biblical parable of the prodigal son from Christian religious texts; notes the playwright’s rethinking of the allusion of sin and the wise father in ironic discourse; shows the originality of the realization of mythological plots and archetypes in A. Vampilov’s drama. In "Duck Hunting" the authors analyse reminiscences associated with ancient mythology - river, ferry, forest, hermitage. Turning to A. Vampilov’s genetic duality allows giving a variant of the interpretation of the dual meaning of "Duck Hunting" finale in the context of the "baby" archetype content and a characteristic of Shamanov’s image in the play "Last Summer in Chulimsk" in the context of Buddhist mythological scenes.
