Abstract. The article analyses the semantic meanings of the Crimean Tatar verbal form of Pluperfect with -гъан эди and identifies the English Past Tense forms with the similar meaning. The findings lead to the conclusion that the Pluperfect Tense form bears four clearly expressed semantic meanings, two of which correlate with the meanings of the English Past Perfect Tense and the rest two - with the meanings of the Past Simple Tense. The structural analysis has allowed the author to discover similarities in the formation of the Crimean Tatar Pluperfect Tense and the English Past Perfect Tense.
