LINGUO-GENETIC SPECIFICITY OF BELGOROD AREA REGIONAL DIALECT IN THE CONTEXT OF THE REGION’S HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract. The article presents the results of a field research of regional dialects in Belgorod area. Despite their relative "marginality" in the Russian dialect system, regional dialects of Belgorod region as a border one are an important object of dialectological research. The linguo-genetic and linguo-culturological analysis of the dialect vocabulary of Belgorod area has shown that it correlates with the dialects of later settled areas preserving the archaic form and containing the traces of inter-ethnic contacts. The author identifies the ratio of dialect lexemes, borrowings and their sources, establishes their areas and concludes about the formation and evolution of the south-Russian dialects representing the conflict of different ethno-linguistic movements and linguistic tradition.
