CULTURAL MEANING OF A WEEDING RITUAL AND ITS MANIFESTATION IN LANGUAGES (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE CONCEPT "HAIR" IN THE RUSSIAN, KAZAKH AND ENGLISH LANGUAGES)

Abstract. The article is devoted to studying and analysing the verbalized concept ВОЛОС/ШАШ/HAIR in the Russian, Kazakh and English languages. The linguo-culturological study focuses on the problems of implicit cultural meanings imprinted in wedding rituals, rites, traditions and superstitions. Examining the content of the concept ВОЛОС/ШАШ/HAIR the author identifies its cultural meanings and concludes about the unique national and cultural features of the three linguo-cultural communities and about universal principles of these peoples’ naive worldviews.
