ANALYSIS OF GRAMMATICAL MEANS TO EXPRESS CAUSE IN THE GERMAN AND RUSSIAN SCIENTIFIC TEXTS OF THE XVIII CENTURY

Abstract. The article presents the results of analysing grammatical means to express cause in the German and Russian scientific texts of the XVIII century. Using the contrastive analysis method, the authors identify structural peculiarities of the functional-semantic field of cause by the material of the German and Russian scientific texts. Relying on the findings, the authors conclude that in scientific texts, the functional-semantic field of causality is represented by grammatical means expressing the cause proper or the cause with an additional shade of meaning.
