PARENTAL INFLUENCE ON PERSONALITY FORMATION (BY THE MATERIAL OF I. S. TURGENEV’S "THE DIARY OF A SUPERFLUOUS MAN" AND M. M. PRISHVIN’S "THE CHAIN OF KASHCHEY")

Abstract. The article provides philosophical and pedagogical interpretation of the parental role in the education and development of a harmonious personality. Analysing the personages’ childhood memoires, the researcher concludes on the role of parental education and its further influence on human life. The paper focuses on describing and analysing the main personages’ emotional states in childhood and adulthood, identifies their causes and the factors influencing them. The researcher concludes that parental failures can provoke psychological difficulties both in adolescence and adulthood. Modern parents should avoid such mistakes.
