DIGITAL LITERATURE AND INSTITUTIONAL ENVIRONMENT ROLE IN ITS STUDY

Abstract. The article analyzes the scientific works of the American art philosophers Arthur Danto and George Dickie and studies the large Russian-language digital literary communities "Setevaya Slovesnost'" ("Digital Literature") and "Vavilon" ("Babylon"). The author examines the possibility of expanding the literary methodological apparatus by incorporating the concepts of institutionalism into it. Great attention is paid to the role of institutional environment in the production of digital literary texts. The paper describes scientific hypotheses about the nature of art, proposed by Arthur Danto and George Dickie. Besides, the possibilities of their application in the study of digital literary material, network communities and the definition of the boundaries of digital literature are considered.
