INHIBITING FACTORS OF LANGUAGE EDUCATION MODERNIZATION AT NON-LINGUISTIC UNIVERSITIES

Abstract. The article discusses the current problems of teaching a foreign language at non-linguistic universities of the Russian Federation in the context of the increasing requirements concerning the results of foreign-language education. Basing on the analysis of the works that consider some difficulties of teaching a foreign language at a non-linguistic university, the author presents the methodological classification of the main inhibiting factors of language education modernization at non-linguistic universities, which can be used to reform the educational policy of higher education.
