Abstract. The representatives of military-aristocratic social estates in all the life circumstances acted in accordance with the notion of honor, which included the strict observance of the established rules of the code of the nobility. Thereunder, in historical-heroic songs and laments the image of an ideal hero-warrior, who is a courageous and fearless defender of the homeland, strictly following the principles and guidelines of the uerk khabze (knights’ code), is created. This paper shows that the fundamental principles of the uerk khabze were applied not only to men but also to women belonging to aristocratic social estates. Moreover, Adyghe women were the bearers of this national-specific code.
