THE USE OF ROLE-PLAYING AS A PRACTICE-BASED TASK IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING AT THE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Abstract. The article is devoted to the issue of finding effective forms of conducting classes at the pedagogical university, as well as to the problem of using role-playing as a practice-based task in the methodology of teaching a foreign language. The main classifications of role games are described. The topicality of using role-playing in the methodology of teaching a foreign language is determined. The authors outline the features of role games application. Significant stages of work with role games are identified. The paper reveals the high practical potential of role-playing that helps to introduce actions, attitudes and intentions, which are the components of pedagogical activity, in its content.
