FORMATION OF POST-SOMATIC ICHTYONYMS IN THE TATAR LANGUAGE

Abstract. Tatar somatisms are the object of multi-disciplinary research. The paper contributes to the comprehensive study of post-somatic vocabulary in the word-formative aspect. The authors for the first time analyze Tatar ichtyonyms with somatic components, examine the formation of terms from somonyms, sensonyms, splanhnonyms and the words designating illnesses, diseases and human physiological manifestations. The researchers identify the somatisms, which are frequent and particular for this group, consider the structure of post-somatic ichtyonyms, discover productive means and types of word-formation, identify the place of the somatic component in the structure of multi-component names. The study of post-somatic ichtyonyms helps to discover the word-formative potential and to clarify the size of somatisms word-formative clusters.
