Abstract. The article analyzes linguistic peculiarities of the modern German press in Russian, which is published by the Russian Germans, the representatives of the fourth wave of the western branch of the Russian emigration. The study focuses on specific linguistic phenomena that manifest themselves in the vocabulary and graphics of Russian newspapers. The analyzed linguistic peculiarities testify to growing bilingualism of the newspapers and indicate the Russian Germans’ search for national identity under new historical circumstances. Newspapers "Pereselencheskii vestnik" ("Resettler’s Messenger") (2016) and "Novye zemlyaki" ("New Compatriots") (2017) served as research material.
