TYPICAL PECULIARITIES OF THE SUFFIXAL MORPHEME -ТЭ IN THE KABARDINO-CIRCASSIAN VERB

Abstract. Relying on the factual material the article traces the process of transforming the bound root morpheme - тэ into a suffixal one. The author discovers semantic relation of the mentioned affix with the root morpheme and identifies semantic shifts of derivative verbs conditioned by broadened distributive potentials of the analyzed morpheme. The paper examines lexico-grammatical peculiarities of the word-formative models under study. In particular, the author concludes that inclusion of the suffixal morpheme - тэ in the structure of the derivative basis promotes transitivation of the intransitive verb.
