Abstract. The article presents the results of studying the ritualization of the learning process at the American universities using the example of the Texas A&M University of College Station. The author describes various discursive features and ritual actions that structure the social practice "Graduating from the University", serving the purpose of maintaining the corporate spirit of this institution. An important role is played by symbolic, linguistic, and iconic signs, which include a number of complex symbolic actions that express existing social and cultural relationships at the university.
