SPECIFICITY OF SPATIAL AND TEMPORAL ARRANGEMENT OF THE NOVEL "WUTHERING HEIGHTS" BY EMILY BRONT?

Abstract. The article is devoted to studying time and space in the novel "Wuthering Heights" by Emily Bront?. The researchers identify the functions of the chronotope, which is considered as a structure representing the integrity of internal relations of spatial and temporal elements. The paper analyzes the special spatial-temporal arrangement of E. Bront?’s novel focused around a limited number of personages. The analysis indicated the interrelation of events, the main characters’ feelings and actions with the time and gothic space described by the authoress.
