SOCIAL OPPOSITION "ONE’S OWN - FOREIGN" AS A MEANS OF POLITICAL MANIPULATION (BY THE EXAMPLE OF BARACK OBAMA’S SPEECH)

Abstract. The article considers the opposition "one’s own - foreign" as one of the main ways of manipulating the audience in political discourse. The main content of the study is an analysis of the speech of the 44th US President Barack Obama, dedicated to the completion of the Iraqi military conflict. As a research task the author makes an attempt to consider linguistic ways of realizing the presented binary opposition, in particular, at its morphological, lexical, syntactic and stylistic levels.
