SPECIFICITY OF AUTHOR’S AND TV DOCUMENTARY FILMS

Abstract. The article is devoted to studying the peculiarities, basic features and characteristics of author’s and TV documentary films. The paper provides a comparative analysis of the key types of documentary films and their influence on broadcast programming. The research findings allow the author to draw certain conclusions which can be used to study the peculiarities of tele-viewers’ perception of documentary films which differ not only in their structure and properties but also according to their general purpose.
