Abstract. The article is devoted to the consideration of female characters’ implicit gender-oriented statements. Particular attention is paid to the ascertainment of a range of linguistic means for expressing the characteristics typically attributed to men in female characters’ direct speech. The study has made it possible to reveal the gender-specific stereotypes fixed by women’s worldview in the framework of the Russian-language linguistic culture. The authors determine the negative character of the evaluation typical of women’s statements implicitly characterizing men.
