LINGUISTIC REPRESENTATION OF MNEMONIC PROCESSES: TEMPORAL ASPECT

Abstract. The article presents the results of the consideration of the linguistic representation of memory. Each stage of the mnemonic system functioning is analysed subject to the time interval between the elements. The author focuses on such elements of the linguistic actualization of memory functioning as a subject, a mnemonic verb, an information actant and an information causator. The texts of the literary works of the modern prose in English were used as the material for the analysis. Taking into account the time component allowed the author to describe some semantic features of mnemonic verbs.
