FOLKLORE HERITAGE OF MULTINATIONAL DAGESTAN (ON PUBLICATIONS OF FOLKLORE MONUMENTS CORPORA)

Abstract. In the article, the main provisions for the preparation of the collective work "The Corpus of Folklore Monuments of Dagestan Peoples" in 20 volumes, clearly and fully representing multinational folklore in all its ideological and aesthetic richness and diversity of genres, are stated. The authors formulate a number of the tasks the performers face. The most important of them is the correct selection of the texts that do not cause doubts in their genre belonging, their authentic translation and the compilation of a scientific apparatus consisting of comments, notes, a dictionary, indexes of characters, collectors, informants, and so on.
