RIDDLE GENRE IN BAGAUTDIN ASTEMIROV’S WORK (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE BOOK COLLECTION "WHO KNOWS?")

Abstract. The article analyses the famous Kumyk writer Bagautdin Astemirov’s poetic riddles for young children, published in the collection " Ким биле? " ("Who Knows?"). The analysis reveals their artistic features as the genre of the literary poetic riddle, notes the presence of the national folk tradition in the writer’s creative work. The authors find out that thematic illustrations and the richness of the language material of the collection contribute to the creative, logical and imaginative thinking of children, as well as develop speech and mental reactions speed, have educational and cognitive functions.
